Players have been spending more and more on games, especially with the pandemic. So much in fact, that a new all time record has been set. According to the NPD, consumer spending on gaming has reached $10.86 billion dollars in the first quarter of 2020 in the US. This is massive as this only accounts for time between January to March. This is up 9% from the same time last year. With games like DOOM Eternal, Animal Crossing New Horizons and more, it doesn’t seem too surprising that such a record has been set!
