Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ physical sales reaches over 3.6 million in Japan, surpassing Pokemon Sword and Shield’s physical sales in the country

Famitsu has updated their sales data and Animal Crossing: New Horizons continues to dominate in Japan. The game has reached 3,611,246 physical copies sold in Japan, out selling Pokemon Sword and Shield’s 3.5 million copies sold. In addition, the game has reclaimed the #1 weekly best selling game in Japan, which was previously FFVII Remake during its release week. Lastly, the game is closing in on Super Smash Bros Ultimate’s physical sales total of 3.65 million copies sold.
