Coronavirus has been affected the tech world in a big way, delaying manufacturing of components and even development of games. It affects even Nintendo with shortages of Switch consoles in Japan and now, its affecting Masahiro Sakurai’s work on Super Smash Bros Ultimate. In the upcoming Famitsu issue, Sakurai states that his plans to present information about an upcoming DLC character to a publisher(s) were postponed due to the coronavirus. If one person gets sick with the coronavirus, development is put on hold as the entire building would have to be shut down.
