Ninja Gaiden is a beloved series to those who played it during the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube generation. The series has been on hiatus for quite a while now with Ryu Hayabusa being included in other games like Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate. However, Team Ninja is aware of fan demand for the series. Team Ninja director Fumihiko Yasuda states this in a recent IGN interview:

“The core members of the team that worked on Ninja Gaiden want to make a new game. We are aware that some fans wanted Ninja Gaiden more than Nioh 2. Now we see a lot of ninja games like [Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice] as well, and we see a lot of good inspirations in those games, so we hope to deliver some good news one day.”

Lets hope that Ninja Gaiden makes a return in the near future. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news!
