Pokemon Sword and Shield reach 6 million units sold worldwide in first weekend *updated*

    The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Sword and Shield have reached 6 million units sold in the first week! This marks the highest first week sales for any Switch game on the platform. In addition, its the fastest selling Switch game and sold 2 million units in Japan. More information may be found here.

    *Update* has received confirmation that the sales figures tracked for Pokemon Sword and Shield’s 6 million milestone account for ONLY the first weekend of sales, not week. The sales account for copies sold through to consumers from November 15th to November 17th.
