Destiny 2 Shadowkeep and New Light delayed

If you were looking forward to the upcoming Destiny 2 expansion or its Steam edition, we have some unfortunate news for you. Today, Bungie put up an official blog post that detailed how both will be delayed. They will now be releasing on October 1st rather than the original September 17th release date.

Within the blog post, they detailed that the update “would benefit from a bit more time in the oven” Thus, they’ve decided that two more weeks is a sufficient amount of time. They went on to discuss the idea that these fall releases are the game’s first step to getting Destiny to where they want. Overall, I trust that but whether you do is your choice.

Destiny New Light is a new, free to play edition of everything Destiny 2 has to offer. This is anything from the base game, all the way to Forsaken for completely free on Steam. Destiny Shadowkeep, on the other hand, is the upcoming expansion. Players new and old will be returning to the moon, discovering what even has arisen again there.

Players are excited for both, but we’ll have to wait a little longer. Are you going to get Shadowkeep or try New Light? Let us know in the comments below.
