Former Wolfenstein devs create Bad Yolk Games

It looks like two of the MachineGames developers have decided to move to new projects. Michael Paixao and Joel Jonsson, both ex-devs, have formed Bad Yolk Games. This new team is made up of roughly ten veterans who have worked on triple-A games all across the industry. They plan to have this team be “our leaders down the line”. For now though, they will be keeping this foundation to keep things simple.

According to the team, they’re already working hard on their first project. No details were given on what that project is though, as it’s still in very early stages of development.

Discussing their values as a studio, the two heads had the following to say: “After years of working with some extremely talented people on some really great projects we felt it was time to branch out on our own to create a new kind of studio,”

Overall, Bad Yolk prides itself on creating a great work-life balance for its employees. Their plan is to use this to help improve the quality of both their worker’s lives and the games themselves.

MachineGames is a Swedish development studio founded in 2009. They are best known for creating the modern Wolfenstein game series, which has garnered very high critical acclaim. What do you think of these two forming a new studio? Let us know!
