If you already own Civilization VI on the Nintendo Switch, you’ve likely noticed the lack of both expansions. Thankfully, it looks like you won’t have to wait too long. Thanks to a tweet from the official Civilization twitter, we now know that both expansions are on their way to the Switch! The tweet reads above that the expansions are planned to arrive later this year.
These two DLC are big parts of game, hence why players are so eager to get them ported. Rise and Fall brings a host of new choices and strategies to the game for one. These come in the form of Dark/Golden Ages, Loyalty to your empire, and the ability to appoint governors. Gathering Storm on the other hand, brings a massive amount of solid content. There’s environmental effects, consumable resources, engineering projects, World Congress, scenarios, and more! Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy 4X game being developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games. In it, you take control of a civilization and build it to achieve one of multiple victories over the other players. It’s available on PC, iOS and Nintendo Switch for $59.99.
