The Pokémon Company have announced a new event for Pokémon GO, titled Munchlax Hatch Day, which will start on August 9. As the name implies, the event will heavily feature Munchlax.
On August 9, from 11 AM to 5 PM local time, Munchlax will hatch much more frequently from 2 km Eggs. There is also an increased chance of hatching Shiny Munchlax. The event bonuses also include 2× Candy from hatching Eggs and an increased chance of receiving 2 km Eggs from spinning PokéStops.
New Timed Research exclusive to the event, which grants players an Incubator and 5,000 XP, will also be available. Further, if you pay $1.99, you’ll be able to access event-exclusive Timed Research. If you purchase the ticket, you will get 2× Hatch Stardust. You will need to explore 1 km to earn the following One Star Piece, Two Super Incubators, and more. A ticket box will also be available for $1.99.
Recently, Niantic and The Pokémon Company revealed the Dark Skies and GO Fest 2025: Max Finale global events will be held in Pokémon GO. Pokémon GO: Dark Skies begins on August 18, followed by Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale on August 23. Gigantic Pokémon Eternatus will make its global Pokémon GO debut in a showdown featuring legendary Pokémon Crowned Sword Zacian and Crowned Shield Zamazenta, who are making their return from Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Global.
Pokémon GO: Dark Skies will run from Monday, August 18 through Sunday, August 24 with a variety of Dynamax Pokémon, including Eternamax Eternatus. The event will reach its climax on Saturday, August 23 and Sunday, August 24, with Pokémon GO Fest 2025: Max Finale.
